Ok, there's nothing like a good friend to bring you back to earth when you feel like floating; there I was so happy with my tulip painting when Paulette came and selected this dhalia from hell to paint this week, I spent 3 days doing it and could't get anything better aaaarghhh!!! so I guess I'll do as it this never happened.

And you should check Angeles version of this same photo, she was so evil to make a gorgeous version with markers so now I can't blame the reference photo as an excuse :angered:, anyway, check it, it does deserve the effort of clicking on the [link]

Sorry, I try my hardest to remember my Spanish. I really do! :D

I really like this painting, and I like your friend's marker version too. I actually like your's better because it is soft and radiant with light. It isn't vivid or obtrusive, it's.. .nice! ^-^ Like something you would give on a birthday card to a loved one, or a paintingyou would do for Easter.

I like the use of the complimentary colors. The greens and the reds and the pinks. :D

You do great work. You should never say otherwise!

oh my~~~ you captured the lights and darks so well maybe...a little darker at the bottom of the flower...besides that.. great job! ecspecially for such a hard subject: D
